What do we all ultimately want? Happiness? Love? Peace?  Yes to all.

We can all agree that everything we do in our lives like starting a business, finding a partner, moving to another city, change careers, go on vacations is to experience pleasure and positive emotions. We want to experience more love, joy and peace of mind. But like happiness, these emotions can not be pursued or chased, we learn how to cultivate them inside us, by connecting and using the super power of our Hearts. Easier said than done? Living in a state of these positive emotions is like being fit, it takes work, daily work.

If you want to get fit, going to the gym at least 3 times a week is essential. And most importably, eliminating junk food, white sugar and refined grains is critical to build a fit and healthy body. It is the elimination of the unhealthy foods that allows the body to self-regulate and thrive. Our bodies are extremely intelligent system of cells, hormones, enzymes, neurotransmitters and peptides that make everything work in optimum ways. If you don’t eliminate the bad foods first, nothing will change.

That is the same for our emotions, we need to eliminate the blocks, the negative thoughts and feelings that are preventing us from feeling more love, joy and peace. We need to address the blocks, elimination is key, not addition of more in our lives. It is not the new car, the new house or the increase in our income that will make us happier. Those things brings us moments of joy and pleasure, but let’s face it, if we don’t address our baggage, our negativity, we get back on that down state pretty fast after buying the shining new toy.

I am speaking here of real, lasting and authentic  joy.
